Our Mission & Our Vision
Our mission goes beyond adoration; we at Saving Our Needle Noses (SONNs) are dedicated to creating a nationwide community of sighthound lovers by fundraising and sharing knowledge openly. SONNs was created to bring together supporters, groups and rescues who are interested in working together to share information about Sighthounds and the joys of ownership. We also want to help facilitate easier sharing of resources with groups to increase the number of available adopters across the nation. We want to help link transports, offer support to adopters, make breed needs and idiosyncrasies easier to navigate for new and potential adopters, and much more. Join us as we extend our passion to make a difference, one needle nose at a time.

SONNs will also hold fundraising events and auctions throughout the year to support our mission!

A Little More About Us
Our founders, Vanessa and Jenna, met in 2016 at an event that their greyhounds, Choice, Cody, and Indy, attended with them. The three greyhounds became fast friends and almost immediately earned the nickname of the 'Brindle Brigade'.
Vanessa has been a part of the sighthound world for over 20 years, both in owning sighthounds and working with her local rescue organization. Jenna's first Needle Nose love was her boy, Indy.
Over many late-night messages and long talks, Vanessa and Jenna realized that they shared the same ideas and passion for all things sighthound and thus, SONNs was born.
